How to make a Fondant Rose

Here is a little how to on making fondant roses.

You will need:

Fondant (color of your choice)

circle cutter

leaf cutter and veiner

luster dust (optional)

Step1

Make a cone using fondant. The size of your cone will depend on the size of your finished rose i.e. smaller cone = smaller rose.

Step 2

Using your pasta machine set on 4 or a rolling pin....roll out fondant fairly thin.

Step 3

Cut out several circles using your circle cutter. Again, if you are making a smaller rose then you would use a smaller circle cutter.

Step 4

Wrap one of the fondant circles around the top of the cone. You can use a little bit of water to adhere the petal to the cone.

Step 5

Wrap the other side of the cone with another fondant circle.

Step 6

Continue wrapping bud with fondant circles making sure to overlap seams. You may want to look at a real or artificial rose to help you see how the petals lay.

Step 7

Using your finger or paint brush...push down tops of petals to look more flowing and real.

Step 8

Pinch the top of the petal to give it more dimension so it looks like the real thing.

See what a difference it makes?

Step 9 (optional)

Apply Luster dust of your color choice with a soft ended paint brush.

Lightly apply it down in the cracks and then work your way out.

Step 10

Color your fondant green for the leaves i used Juniper green by Wilton.

Step 11

Use a leaf cutter and veiner to cut out two leaves.

Step 12

Lay the leaves on top of each other end to end.

Step 13

Use water to adhere the leaves to the back of the rose. You can also pinch the leaves a bit to give them more dimension.

Here is your finished product:

Here are a couple of Cakes and cupcakes I made using roses:

Beautiful! Thanks Tammy! Just in time for my lil sweet pea's birthday tea party!

Do you heart the Louis Vuitton handbags before? It is a very welcome line today, and it well-like by famous people. It is also a popular product by the west countries. We can see that its pattern is unique, and it is limited production. If you like our LV handbags, especially the Replica Handbags that you are prefer to own, please contract us as soon as possible.
