Hi and welcome to the Southern Cottage Cakery!

I'm Tammy and I was lucky enough to have been born and raised in the south! There is nothing like a good old southern home cooked meal and all the love that goes into making it! I would have to say that another great part of living in the South is the wonderful baked goods that come out of some of the kitchens around here!

In 2007 I decided to start baking and trying out some of the southern recipes from MANY of the cook books I have, and fell in love with a sweet little thing called a "cupcake". I then decided that these little yummy bites needed a little decorative touch and thats when the fun began. What started out as a hobby turned into a passion for me and my friends and family kept me extremely busy making them some of my delicious art. 

I have never taken any courses on cake decorating, but I have certainly done my share of research on the subject. So hopefully I will be able to share with you what I have learned along the way and give you ideas on how to make your own beautiful creations.
